When by law in TN should I stop paying for child support? My daughter will graduate from high school in May and will turn 18y in August.
Thanks.

Support orders vary, it will be by the exact wording of the support order, normally it is 18.

Also some courts will require you file with the court if there is any garnishment orders.

Also if there is any payments behind, then support would continue till all payments are caught up

Read the court order. It should specify.

Are you making direct payments or are they being deducted from your pay?

In most states where it ends at 18 it ends when both conditions are met. Graduation of High School as well as being 18. So if your child graduates early your still going to be liable for support until they reach 18.

Another suggestion is to go see someone in the TN Department of Human Services in your town or city, and take your court order decree with you. They should be able to help you to determine when to stop payments, or tell you who to see.

That won't help. DHS here in Tennessee deals with food stamps, AFDC, TennCare, etc. The OP needs to read the terms of the support agreement. The support here in Tennessee can be extended through college.
