I dyed my hair black with Revlon something-or-the-other about a year ago and now I would like to try L'Oreal Excellence HiColor Red. It says that if you've recently dyed your hair black, the color will not take. But it has been almost a whole year since I dyed it black.
Anyone know if it'll take after all since it has been so long?

A year is not recent in hair-coloring terms. It may not color evenly if your hair is different colors now, which it probably is if you haven't kept up with touch ups.
