Hello,

I am an OPT student and yesterday, I filed for tax online but did not use the non-resident form. How do I retrieve my information and get the non resident forms?

Secondly, after my OPT, I applied for a certificate program and paid full tuition fees. Am I eligible to filing for the tuition?

Thanks

You CANNOT retrieve the tax return. Once the efile is accepted (the tax software normally sends you an email notice to that effect), it has been filed.

You must AMEND the return using Form 1040X and attached properly-prepared Forms 1040NR-EZ and 8843 to the Form 1040X.

If you believe that you will need professional help filing this amendment, this IS what I do. Please double-click on my name (Atlanta Tax Expert) above to access my profile. You will find my email address in the signature portion of the profile (scroll down to the BOTTOM of the page).
