Electrical question:

Installing used ceiling fan/light no pull chain for fan speed that only has 2 wires black & white
Prior ceiling fan had pull chain for light & fan

Box in ceiling has black / white / copper ground

Installed fan connected black & white to black & white then copper wire to pull
Green ground wire.

Why is neither the light or fan working?

Did you check for power at the ceiling. Did you test the fan on a different circuit?
