Women raises 100 birds. No pigeons. Neighbors complained. County code enforcement officer came to the home. She had her breeders license. Everything
Was okay. She could keep her birds. But not sell them out of her home. See sells
Them in a public place.

On the way out the code enforcement officer cited her for installing a fence
1 inch short of the requirement. And having a shed without a permit.

Her neighbor was delighted she got a ticket. Even though they lost out on the bird issue.

I guess code enforcement can come to your home without warning
If a complaint is filed.

Absolutely, Code Enforcement doesn't need to provide a warning. This would give the person(s) in supposed violation time to get up to code.

Pastor, what am I missing here?
Why are you surprised that people in violation of Housing Codes are cited?

Just wondered. If they come for a certain reason that is unfounded
They can find alternative code violations. I guess they can

Why they are there doesn't matter. If people would stay in compliance they wouldn't have code violation problems.

In my area you get a warning, 10 days and then you are violated.

It apparently differs.
