My niece is 15 years old. Her real mom is my brothers sister. A lot of stuff happened and my brother and his wife (her real mothers sister) took her in and adopted her. A lot of stuff has been happening at her home and she wants to live with me, my husband, and my step daughter. She's been living here for two weeks and we meet with dcf for meetings because her father still wants her. If she goes back there she will run away and kill her self. She is already depressed. I'm worried about her safety. I live in Connecticut. And I don't know what to do and how to do it. Please I'm begging you. Please help.

Your brother's sister would be your sister. Why not just put it that way?

Your brother is married to the sister of the child's "real" mother? That would make the child the niece of your brother and his wife.
