Hello,
I really hope someone can help me with this problem. I have a Beckett oil burner, it also heats our hot water. It has a 2 zone heating system. 1- downstairs and 2 second floor.
I doubt this has anythingto do with my current problem but I'll just give it as background info. Last week we had a new oil pump, motor and fan replaced on our burner. I was told I also need a new sensor for the igniter. I'll do that myself shortly.
The question I have is - now I get no heat to zone 1 - zone 2, the upstairs of my house get hot as hades. Downstairs - nothing. Any ideas?
Thanks for taking the time to read this and if you can help. THANKS!!

Do yiou have individual circulators or one circulator with zone valves?

Individual circulators.

Often the downstairs zone is powered off the aquastat while the upstairs comes off a separate relay. Sometimes, however, they both come off a relay panel with the downstairs usually being zone 1. Which do you have?
Pictures would be a huge help.

Do you have a voltmeter & know how to use it?

I truly appeciate the hellp with this. The burner itself I can do some repairs and I am pretty good at replacing things. But this part of the boiler operation I have very limited knowledge. Once my son comes home I'll send pictures.I beleave I have a very basic old set up. I have a Honeywell LB124A Triple aquastat relay above the burner on the right. Then on the side of the boiler I have a Honeywell TYPE RA89A relay.
I do have a voltage meter and can use it.
Tahnks for your time and patience with this.

Most likely the downstairs circ is connected to the L8124. Turn up the downstairs stat & turn the upstairs all the way down. Measure voltage between C1 & C2 on the aquastat. You should get 120 volts. If you do & the circ is not running, you probably have a bad circ motor. What make & model are the circulators?
