My son is 3 years old. I took him to his doctor on Monday, he had an ear infection and was put on an antibiotic. On Wednesday he started vomiting and had bad diarrhea so I called his doctors office and was told to take him off the antibiotic temporarily and to push fluids and put him on the "BRAT" diet. I tried that but didn't get far my son refused to eat or drink anything. The next day I called the doctor again and heard the same thing over. It has been a total of 5 days now and my son still has the symptoms and still refuses to eat and drink anything I have no idea what to do now and am very concerned.

If he hasn't had anything to eat or drink in 5 days you need to call the Doctor again and be very persistent - children dehydrate very quickly.
