Was the oxycodone prescribed for his kidney pain?

Painkillers are not treatment. Pain is nature's way of telling you something is wrong. Of course it's time, especially when there is no relief from the pain.

Yes. Yes it is time for the ER.
How the heck can you prescribe him oxcycodone? A drug that is so highly controlled that pharmacies have signs saying that it is a special order and none is kept on site. If you have the ability to prescribe this then you should have recognized the severity of what was going on here. If you have that magical little pad that allows for prescriptions, you should know what your giving and how completely wrong it is for the symptoms he's displaying.
Get him to a hospital.

Craven, to be fair, I don't think the OP was implying that she prescribed the oxy, she simply said that she gave him prescription oxy, which means she, or he, had a prescription for oxy in the past.
Whether that prescription was for the pain he's feeling now, is another story altogether, and I would say it's very dangerous to give oxy for anything other than what it's prescribed for. Very foolish.
It is past time for the ER.

Reading it again, I can see how it can be interpreted many different ways. I think I quickly read it and made up my mind about what it said. It reads like she had some kicking around and gave it to him, or bought it some how. I don't know. The message is the same though. To the ER.

Craven, I think you were thinking of OxyContin. Another name for Oxycodone is Percocet, Tylox, etc.
But yes, the OP's husband should be seen by his primary care provider as soon as possible.
