Had the oil pressure sensor replaced (mechanic was sure that was the problem) but it died 5 times on the way home. It restarts immediately and I can continue. Just before it dies, the oil pressure gauge jumps around. The battery gauge is registering on the high side when it dies. We just replaced the battery two months ago.

Thoughts:
. Test the alternator--the voltage regulator/brush assembly may need replacing. Most auto parts stores will test alternators for free.
. The Ignition Control Module (ICM) may be intermittently failing--common problem. You should be able to replace it yourself. Simply plug your coil packs into a new ICM. Disconnect the negative battery cable, prior to beginning work.
