What links do you think there are between the two

Links?

As in "what connects the two"? Be a little more specific?

Intention... awareness... preconceived opinion... fears?

Any emotion -- love and hate to begin with, and then on from there.

I recently finished a fiction novel by Jodi Picoult that dealt heavily with this.

Prayer... what is prayer?

Prayer is practicing the presence of God.

There are many links, or doorways, that connect both normal and paranormal.

I typically will differentiate between paranormal and supernatural in that I always refer to anything related to the divine as supernatural. In this aspect prayer would relate more to the divine rather than just the spiritual plane.

I say there are doorways because there are a number of different ways we open ourselves up to the spiritual world. Just as our physical world operates by laws, so does the spiritual world. Scientifically I do not believe anybody will be able to answer how the veil is lifted or opened at times.
