Tell the Doctor what you've told "us" or find another Doctor. If it's an emotional problem have you considered speaking to a therapist?

(It's avail, not prevail.)

Think ill book in to see another doctor at the surgery and sorry for incorrect wording I wasn't thinking a great deal about what I was writing more on the point I was trying to put across.

Not a problem - I figured you knew the difference and it was a type. (I, unfortunately, do that all the time!)

Yes, I think you should see someone else, someone who will actually listen to what you have to say.

Let "us" know how it works out.

Many thanks sweety I've had this damn awful depression about 6yrs ago after the birth of my son the doctor in question then prescribed me antidepressant's,a few things have happened to me in the last year or so... operations... relationship problems... a stroppy very hormonal 10yr old daughter tried my best to not let these pesky things get the better of me but I really need the extra help.
I will let you know how I get on :-)

Sounds like you had post partum depression after then birth. Sort of goes undiagnosed at times unless your doctor is too old fashioned in his viewpoint to pick up on signs and symptoms.

Yes that was 6 years ago I was prescribed antidepressants at that time but this time my doctor seems a little reluctant to give them to me maybe he thinks I'm better off without I don't know but I felt like he could have approached me with abit more consideration

The doctor sounds like an idiot. Find someone else and give that a try.

Maybe if I talk to the female doctor she might have a different take on things it's got to be worth a try... I feel like I'm losing my mind just want to be and think positive I have so much to be positive for
