2 months ago I developed a very bad kidney infection was hospitalized, have never truly felt better from it. Upon admission to hosp my hgb was at 9.2 (something they never told me) upon release it was 7,8 and following up with my specialist it kept dropping got to 6.8 was going to be transfused but then it started too climb back uo. Past two weeks flank pain, fevers cloudy urine went to my ic specialists he took sample said it looks dark and cloudy I'm betting never went away. Gave me cipro high dose sent for culture etc. Came back no infection. Now pain in ab, bladder and flanks has actually eased but sill there reason for all of this is past two days my urine smells awful I mean awful yet my urine from doc said no infection. What lse could it be and what should I do.. pain in flank and bladder can be bad one hr and OK for next few hrs

Urine is waste. Depending on kidney function and the state of your infection, your urine will have a different bouquet than normal. As evidence with your cloudy urine.

If you're not safisifed with this doctor's advice, consult another. This is something your body will need more time to heal up from. I would keep on your doctor until the source of this is revealied.
