Hello,
About a month ago I started getting itching in my vagina. I ignored it for a few days, but when it grew worse, I checked and noticed I had a lot of chunky white discharge. I figured it was a yeast infection and took monistat 1, and a few days later it was gone. I got my period, and then a few days after it ended I started having mild menstrual like cramps all the time. I noticed a different kind of discharge, sort of a whitish think like discharge, but no burning and no itching. I went to the doctor about a week after I started getting the symptoms, and after an exam, she told me there was definitely something wrong. They took a urine sample, and tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea. Both of those came back negative, but she gave me a shot of Rocephin and a one dose of azythromycin. After about 10 days my symptoms went away, but yesterday I started getting those cramps again, and I'm noticing a lot of white discharge, sometimes pale yellow. It isn't chunky, more stringy and thin. Again, no itching, no burning. I don't have the urgency to pee. I haven't noticed any foul odors. I am due to get my period soon, so the cramps may have something to do with that, although I am not experiencing any of the other symptoms I normally do when I am about to have my period (tender breasts, bloating) Do I still have something or am I being paranoid? (Note: I have not had any form of sex since before my last period.)

My guess would be possibly trichomoniasis, or 'trich,' pronounced trick. I'm surprised you weren't tested for that? It's a protozoan transmitted by sexual intercourse. You could have had it this last month and not seen symptoms. Men don't usually show symptoms and their bodies usually expel it whereas women don't. The treatment is a drug called Flagyl.
BUT I'm not saying this is what you have!

My boyfriend did have symptoms of burning after urination and white discharge. He had the same tests done(both neg), and was given the same treatment except he had 10 days of doxycycline. His symptoms went away within days and the only thing he's experiencing now is he has to "shake" much longer after he pees. I don't know if this helps at all. We both had SOMETHING that must have
Transmitted between us. Are those symptoms of trich for a man?

Burning, itching, discharge, yes. I don't know about shaking longer (but given that it's like having a stuffed up nose, it makes sense). Keep in mind that 70% of people who have it never show any symptoms at all.
Some people get symptoms within 5 to 28 days after being infected, but others do not develop symptoms until much later. Symptoms can come and go. And as mentioned, men expel the bug.
Antibiotics are totally useless against anything except bacteria. So you need Flagyl. A protozoan is a little one celled organism slightly higher on the evolutionary scale than bacteria.

Oh - and sorry to have to bring this up: one of you got it somewhere else.

So I just got my bill from when I went to urgent care. I was tested for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Pregnancy, Trich, and they did a urine bacteria culture. Everything was negative. I really don't understand what is going on now, I have absolutely no idea.

Did you both refrain from any sex till totally treated.

But it sounds like it did not get completely cured, and you both need to go back, also no sex till it is treated and cured

We have both been completely sexually inactive for 6 weeks or so.

What's curious is that a doctor said 'something is wrong' but didn't find out what it is, and just gave you both drugs.
Find a less urgent care clinic, or go to a private doctor, together.
It's quite possible that your boyfriend had/has a yeast infection too, and he should have taken Monistat too. You can keep passing yeast back and forth to each other indefinitely.
Added to that, antibiotics can bring on yeast infections. They did in me when I was young.
But I'm still wondering about this exam and the remark the doctor made.

(BTW a clear or whitish gluey stringy discharge is common in women and not necessarily a sign of any disease. It often occurs mid month.)
