Why does our hunter ceiling fan fail to blow air on us regardless of direction of the blades or the speed?

Do you have the blades installed upside down ? Get on a ladder and carefully get above the fan. If it is pushing air up...

Can't be upside down. Check reversing switch and rotation. If a flush mount fan they don't blow a lot down.

I can only guess it is too high up?
Hunters either use a reverse switch and on older ones, the blades actually tilt to the opposite angle for reverse flow.
When using the reverse switch, does the motor turn the other direction?
