Some have a manual switch located on the laptop sides. If that is the case then look for that switch. Some use software to turn it off and on with the ALT functions of your keyboard.

The power switch for the wireless LAN device, and the Bluetooth device (if equipped), is located on the side of the case or above the keyboard depending on the model. On some computers, the switch is actually a touch point on the panel above the keyboard.

No manual switch checked this already tried ctrl fn and alt had no effect the only thing I can think of doing is getting a wifi adapter as I think the function switch could be faulty and its cheaper to buy the wifi dongle adapter than putting the laptop in for repair
