I'm Bailey, I live in Texas and I'm 17. I've been suffering from the worst non-stop headache of my life, along with neck pain, nausea, photophobia, uncontrollable crying, buzzing/pulsing on the left side of my head and I just continue to feel worse. I've been to the emergency room twice because my dad doesn't have insurance and we can't afford a doctor. They told me I have a tension headache but I'm convinced otherwise. It's gotten so bad, I don't even feel like myself. I've tried everything that's supposed to help a tension headache, like meditation, heating pads, pain medication, ice, etc. I don't know how much longer I can handle this, please help.

Did you happen to have a bad fall, banging the bag of your head ?

Honestly, the only thing that's happened is I hit myself in the head quite a few months ago and that's when the buzzing/pulsing started. Other than that, no.

It must have been a pretty hard hit, because you are displaying signs and symptoms of a bad fall with a bang on the head. It doesn't take much to receive a concussion. This is not a diagnosis on my part, that absolutely cannot be done on the internet. I suggest the next time you go to the ER, and it is necessary for you to definiely find out what this is, ask them for a catscan.

I received a cat scan the first trip and they said I was fine. I thought it could be meningitis but the doctor was sure it couldn't be because I was able to move my head. I tried to tell her that my pain tolerance is high and I don't normally have any problems with pain but she wouldn't listen. But thanks for your opinion!

It is my experience that catscans are misread at times, and sometimes another is necessary and a better technician to find abnormalities. If I had the time right now, but off to work, I would send you a link about concussions. Please Google and read signs and symptoms, they will be much like your own.

This is why follow up with a doctor who specializes in this is really needed.
