In January 2012, we separated, filed for divorce in July and went to first hearing in September 2012. The entire time, my daughter lived w me and my two other children up until Labor Day weekend when he picked her up for his regular weekend visits. On Sunday, he refused to return her to me and there was nothing I could do to get her back legally because we had not been to court yet. In the court hearing, he and his family (which I was not close to and had not seen but maybe 3-5 times in the course of 6 years) wrote affidavits about me saying that every time they saw the children, he had them (usually at family functions) but it was because I was working. Anyway, I was given visitation on the 2&4 weekends of the month and ordered to pay support. I always picked her up for my weekends and in the court papers, it said that "any mutually agreeable times in between" I could see her and he refused every single time. We have court later this month to finalize our divorce and the judge will determine final custody arrangements. I have not seen my daughter since Thanksgiving because my mother is going blind and has been in and out of the hospital out of state and I had to make an emergency move to take care of her. I was talking w him regularly on Skype, but when I told him that I still wanted to go through with the divorce, that was the last time I have heard from him. I send messages daily asking about my daughter, but no answers. How can I get my daughter back? My husband has a better attorney than I do, but he ripped our daughter away from us and has told me that he has more money, more control. This is a Georgia case. Thanks for any help!
