A friend of my wife and I claims that last night while donating plasma his blood was contaimed and that he should have a transfusion? But, he further claims that he signed a document that releases the facility of any wrong doing?

He stated that he will not be able to donate from between 6-9 weeks and he should limit his physical activity during that time!

The story doesn't make sense to me unless dirty needles were used.

But, I don't understand his statement regarding "needing a blood transfusion," but the Plasma Donation Center not taking responsibility and having him transported to a medial facility.

The donation center would not be able to give him a transfusion, that would need to be done at a hospital.

As for accepting responsibility, you sign a waver before you donate stating that anything that happens, is not the fault of the donation center. It's standard practice to do that, otherwise they'd leave themselves open to lawsuits every time someone got a bruise from donating.
