I stopped using yasmin about 1 month ago, however sumdays I take a pill. On Wednesday I had a sexual encounter with my boyfriend and he came (not inside me) the next day I took one active yasmin pill and we had unprotected sex this time he came inside me. On Friday I ran out of active pills and used a yasmin placebo pill instead. I just found out that my ovulation took place on Friday and now I am not sure if I may be pregnant? Will the placebo prevent ovulation?

The placebo is only a sugar pill and will not prevent pregnancy.

For the pill to be effective it has to be taken at the same time every day. If you are only going to take it when you feel like it, you should just stop taking it altogether.

To stop ovulation you have to take the pill EVERY day. No, that pill you took is not enough to prevent pregnancy. So yes, pregnancy is a possibility.
