If you can turn the armature in a single phase motor with an outside source turning the shaft, what must you do to have it produce current instead of pulling current?

I have no idea what you are asking, do you? Is this a homework question?

Think about the design of a very basic motor. You can drive the armature, which will drive what ever is connected to the shaft. You can reverse the direction of the rotation.

You can use a small motor to drive a larger setup to induce a larger voltage.

Now if this is homework, tell us what you think the answer to a proper question and we will help you.
