Hi, I rented a space for a store, I am moving now and my land lord said I can not take my slat wll panel because they are screwed on the walls, isn't this same as my show cases or same as furniture from a store?
Can some one help me?
Thank you.

Does your lease have any stipulations on this? What are on the walls under your slats? How did the space look when you moved into it?

What state would this be and what country?

Hi, there is no lease. The place was very bad, I put new carpet, paint, etc. and I think the slatwalls are consider fixtures. What do you think?
Thank you.

If you was buying a house... you can expect anything that was physically attached to the house to go with it... like the cabinets, fixtures... etc... as long as the contract did not specify otherwise.

If the space was considered unfinished when you moved in... then it could remain unfinished when returned. Or a finished space should be returned in a similar condition as it was when you moved in.

So you rented a comercial space with NOTHING in writing... ever? Or you did have a lease that expired and you have been month to month. The terms of the original lease would carry over.

Where is this located as laws might vary.
Personally you would normally be able to take with you what you brought in... but wall stuff tends to get into a bit of a grey area...
