Hi.

Can a baby be born in 7 months fully developed with no complications weighing 3.8kgs? Is it possible?

John.

This was the situation, we had sex with my girlfriend in July 2011 and used a condom, in August she had an operation and she missed her period which usually is regular and comes on 20th-24th and we thought it was because of the medication. We had sex again in September from first week a couple of times and we did not use a condom this time. The confusing part is that she got her periods on 20th Sep for 4 days then the rest of the months she never got them.

I have been told by other people that a lady cannot get her periods when she is pregnant, and this one came on time, 20th-24th. If I calculate assuming that she conceived during that September to the time the baby was born which is in April 28th, it adds up to 7 months and maybe 2 weeks or something like that.

Is my calculation correct really. Or is it possible for a lady to miss her periods and still ovulate. This stuff is confusing especially since I am a man I don't know what to understand.

Thank you
John

Women can have spotting, which is often confused with a period.

No a baby can not be born full term in 7 months. Just not possible.

Also of course condoms have a 2 to 18 percent failure rate, so if the only thing you were using was condoms, it can be the issue.

Thanks Fr Chuck.

The situation is she got her periods 4 days in my house, I saw it with my own two eyes, it was nothing compared to a spot or spots. It was what the ladies refer to as heavy flow. Maybe it was a miracle baby or something. Just maybe.

I tried Google and it even did not have an answer that is why I resulted to consulting medical practitioner.

Please help me to complete the puzzle.

Thank you
John
