I have an almost 1 year old husky. She was a rescue and had been in foster care for 3 or 4 months. When we got her she as great in in crate. Occasionally she would wet but was still pretty good. She then started poo-ing pretty regularly when left in her crate. She got better for about a month and now it is amost anytime we leave her. Yesterday we left her for like 45 minutes and she did it. Please help! We hae tried making her space smaller and it was just a bigger mess. She always goes before going in the crate. Any sggestions?

You have a very intelligent breed of dog. She is telling you she hates the crate. If you display some trust in her abilities, you may make headway into having a husky that is clean and tidy. Another good point is, Husky is a working breed with unbounded energy; they must be outside being walked, played with, love the cold weather and the snow.

Do you have any particular reason for having her in the crate? Making the crate smaller in order to 'teach her a lesson' must have been excrutiating for her.

Get her out of the house more and into a good routine and you won't need the crate for her.
