I have been taking for about 3 weeks 400iu vitamin e and 1000 mg vitamin c. I have han an allergic reaction on my back chest an arms of little red bumps an blotchy spots. How can I treat this at home, have no insurance?

How do you know it's an allergic reaction to the vitamins (or something else)? It might be shingles. Please go to the ER or a walk-in clinic.

Please don't diagnose yourself. No, I am not a doctor. That is why I suggested the ER or a walk-in clinic. If nothing else, stop taking the vitamins.

It is rare to have any allergic reaction, but if it is, just stop taking the vitamin and the problem will solve itself.

Normally, E doesn't cause problems, so I'm wondering if there is something else going on, thus go to the ER or more reasonably, a walk-in clinic.

It is more likely to have a rash from high vit C, but 1000 a day is not that high.
But why are you taking the vit for, Is there issues they are trying to help.

You know most of the vit C is just flushing out in the urine,
But that would be my fear, that perhaps kidney issue where the C is not going out properly

I just started taking vitamin c it was for no reason had just heard it was good to take. According to Google the dosage vitamin e I took was high and taking twice wasn't good idea. Would benadryl help hives

I called n of those 24/7 nurse lines and she said by symptomsthe allergic reaction is most likely hives and that benwfryl is a good hestamine blocker
