I am 16. Female. Not sexually active. I have burning sharp pains in my lower right abdomen... Like someone is shoving a burning hot knife through it very slowly. I looked up symptoms and I have a few of them. But my stepmom said she "KNOWS" I don't have it because she had to have hers removed and her pain wasn't on and off like mine, but mines not on and off. It's just... Sometimes it's bearable but then it gets worse and so on and so on. But then again it also said that it can be different for some people. It hurts so much.

Your appendix? Your mom is wrong. Symptoms can vary a LOT so skip your doctor (but call), and go to a walk-in clinic or ER. An appendectomy is the simplest surgery in the world. A RUPTURED appendix is not. It spreads infection all through your body, and people still die from it - not because it is a complicated surgery, but because of poor diagnosis by doctors, druggists, and family. This is usually because early symptoms are often a general stomach ache, not sharp pain lower right.

You can get yourself to an ER if you have to. They will call your mom.
