I have a hatachi dvd and I need to reset the password for the parental rating and I don't have the manual. How do I do this?

You generally can't do this yourself, it needs to be taken to a Hitachi dealer or repair center, and sent back to the factory to be reset.

The following is a POSSIBILITY, but it will probably not work: unplug the unit and let it set without use for a few days. That might reset it, but it is usually not that easy - worth a try though.
