How much would this tattoo cost on average. I know the price varries from shop to shop, but how much would it most likely cost on average?

There is no possible way to know. It will vary from state to state and shop to shop. The only way to know for sure would be to go to a shop and ask.
It could be $50... it could be $100... it could be $150... who knows. Most shops have a minimum charge and that will affect things as well.

You're asking for a generalization. It really does depend on the tattoo studio, the country it's in, even the town it's in. I can give you an estimate based on what it would cost in a respected tattoo studio where I live, and that's around $2000, with a 1 year waiting period.
You really would be better off going to a studio and asking for a price.

That is actually a lot of work, A average shop ( not one of the best high name ones) that would be about 300 to 500 US dollars. Better shops 1000 up.
Somewhere on here I got photos of mine if you want to look though body art threads here, I have been wanting to just add a small maybe 8 in tiger to mine, In the US my tiger would be about 100 to 200 dollars as a add on as part of a over all project. But I go to a great shop, but right now Atlanta GA has more shops than business.
Here in China if the shop will let you in, ( assuming you are not Chinese) it would be about 50 US dollars.
And right there it is going to hurt, very tender part of arm

Wow, I guess tattoos in Canada aren't cheap. The one on my ankle, which is a fraction of the size of the one the OP posted, cost me $300, and it's not nearly as intricate as the one the OP wants.
Here, depending on the shop, I'd say $1000-$2000 or even more. But even in a crappy shop I can't see it costing less than a grand.
