I have a part pekinese and pug rescue. She is housebroken and doing well. She is a great dog, but has separation anxiety. She stays in a wire kennel for 4 hours when I am at work and I walk her everyday at lunch and put her back in the crate to go back to work. She will go in her kennel on her own at night etc. and appears to be very comfortable with it. She barks and whines and I don't mind that, but upon my return she starts clawing and scratching at the wire - having a fit. I do not want her to hurt herself. I would much rather have her in my kitchen with a gate, but she is a JUMPER. She can jump over a 32" tall gate without even touching it. HOW DO I TEACH HER NOT TO JUMP? Even though she is housebroke well, I do not want her running loose in the house as there are too many dangers. This dog jumps so well that she can jump from the floor in front of recliner rocker and land on the back, manage to balance herself and lay down while still on the back.
