Hi My baby is nearly 5 months old and for a couple of weeks he has been eating jars of baby food ( from 4 month old ones). But I like to make them at home, so been making chicken, and veg and blended up and stored in the freezer. But I'm wondering what pudding can I make for him that are healthy.

Thanks

Hi my baby is 21 weeks old and has been eating baby food since 4 months. He has 3 meals a day as well as about 20 oz of milk. Recently we found out he was lactose intolerant so the doctor gave us some milk that was milk free.

But for a few weeks now he's poo has been very hard, and pellet like. They are dark brown and seems to pass a few at a time.

Is this normal or is there something wrong? x

PS he drinks about 4 oz of baby juice a day with meals.

How much water does he drink? What sort of juice?

Most juice is nothing but sugar. Parents give their children juice thinking it's healthy, and it really isn't. Juice is loaded with sugar, and too much can cause constipation, or harder stools that are more difficult to pass.

So, besides milk and juice, what does your baby drink?

None. Pudding isn't healthy.

Stick to vegetables. Your baby doesn't need dessert, that's an adult thing, a baby doesn't know any different, therefore doesn't miss having sweets in his diet.

He drinks about 3 o of cool boiled water a day! I try giving him more but he don't like it!
The baby juice doesn't have that much sugar in, It's the Heinz Baby Apple juice and Summer fruits juice.

I don't ever give my baby normal juice!

I didn't mean chocolate pudding or ice-cream. I meant such things like purified bananas and fruits.

Im aware that pudding are for adults. I now give him sting plums or purified apple and grape.
