I had sex yesterday and day before yesterday. I took birth control pills one yesterday and one today. Today I found a light bleeding. Am I pregnant? I can feel cramps in my stomach and some sort of tightness. My periods are not regular. Should I continue to take the pills?

Are you saying you had unprotected sex and now you are taking the "morning after" pill as prescribed?

You would not feel pregnancy symptoms 1 day after having sex.

If you have not used the pill as intended to prevent pregnancy, it could fail. Are you only taking it on the days you have sex? It doesn't work that way.

For the pill to be effective you need to take it for a full cycle, without missing any pills, before you can rely on it to be effective and then have to continue taking it regularly. If you miss a pill or do not reliably take them at the same time each day, they can fail to work. If you start relying on them too soon, they can fail to work.

If you have not used the pill properly and responsibly, it's possible that you can get pregnant. If this is a possibility, you should stop taking the pill because it can cause birth defects in pregnant women. Then you should wait several weeks to confirm that you are not pregnant. If you are not pregnant, you need to start over with the pill and should call your doctors office for instructions on when to start over. Again, you can't rely on it to work for the first month - use another form of birth control also. Any time you forget to take a pill, know you need to use another form of birth control like a condom for the rest of that cycle.

Also, antibiotics can make the pill fail so if you get prescribed antibiotics, keep taking the pill but back it up with condoms for that cycle.

I recommend you read a book about women's bodies and reproduction because, if you are sexually active, you need to know a lot more about how your body works.

I did not consult any doctor. I just took pill for two days. Now what should I do?

Follow the directions that came with the pill. If you are buying on a street corner (or something) you are being fooklish. The "medication" came with instructions - follow them.

Pregnancy cannot be diagnosed online. If you had sex, pregnancy is possible, even while using birth control. There is no way that you would experience pregnancy symptoms a day or even a week after having sex. Do you know how pregnancy works? I would suggest researching.

Are you on the pill, or taking the morning after pill? That part of your question is not clear.

What type of pills are you taking?

Just regular birth control pills or the abortion or morning after type pills ?

But yes you could easily be pregnant, since no pills are 100 percent effective, if taking the wrong pills, even less effective.

If you got birth control from someone else and it was not prescribed for you, that is a very bad idea. It may not work, could be expired, you might have started it at the wrong time in your cycle, may not have been on it long enough, etc.

If you took a morning after pill (the abortion pill) per directions on the package, it should be effective.

If you are sexually active, you need to have a gynecologist and need to go for an appointment. You should be prescribed appropriate birth control. Do not take anything you buy online or that a friend gives you, etc. If you cannot afford birth control, go to a free clinic or somewhere like Planned Parenthood. They can educate you, give you a physical and can advise you and probably provide birth control for you.

Did you read the package insert that said you must use another form of birth control for the first 7 days?

How did you get it without seeing a doctor? When did you start taking it? Have you taken it daily?

I just now read the package insert , it says that I should use it on the first 7 days of my period. My mensural cycle is totally irregular. It comes once in 2 months. I didn't have any idea how to use this, this was time for me and my guy too. I was really nervous and asked him to get any pill from a pharmacy. He bought this and gave me. He bought this after one day of sex and I took it as soon as he gave me. The next day I took it at the same time. Today is the third day and I donno to take it or no. He lives in another country. We both live in gcc countries and abortion s not allowed here.

Guys... I know I'm acting like an illEterate fool.. I have no other way, if my boyfrnd was here, we could at least go to a doctor, but I can't do anything being alone. If my parents come to know I'm pregnant they will kill me and my child. My boyfriend will not allow me for an abortion, he was not ready to buy thses birth control pills for me, but later he bought it for my sake, he s ready to accept this child, and I also don't have any problem as we are planningto run away. But to leave this country and go, I need my dad's NOC , and that is not possible. So I'm totally confused what to do.

Those pills will have no effect on stopping your pregnancy after you have already had sex.
So yes there is a good chance you could be pregnant.

These options are things boyfriend and you needed to talk about before sex, not after and run around and start buying pills.

The pills he bought are for use before, and keep using them every day, to stop pregnancy, before you have sex. Be on them at least a month before. You need to see the doctor to get on regular birth control. And boyfriend needs to always use a condom also

So why does boyfriend not marry you if he is ready to accept the child if pregnant ?

And sorry running away is a pipe dream, to where ? Another country, what about passports and visa's and money and jobs ?

Getting married and finding jobs is reality.

We wanted to register this time when he came here, I'm living in qatar, for registering here I need my father's permission letter. We are from india, there we can easily get married, but my parents won't let me go there because of this. So first we will have to runaway and thenget married. His parents are 100% happy with me but my parents told me not to marry him.

Sorry to be harsh but this is a case of acting first and thinking second. It took an enormous amount of time to even determine what type of pill you took/are taking.

Your parents are going to kill you and your child - or you are being dramatic?

The OP is from a country in middle east, where it is very possible that they would actually kill her.
Some cultures do this for honor. It is not as common, but the fact it happens sometimes, keeps the girls in fear.

Guess not that much fear since they did have sex and worried about death after

Let me start by saying that the pill you took is supposed to be taken daily to prevent pregnancy and does not work in the same was that the emergency contraceptive pill does.

Not all areas of the world require a doctor's visit and a prescription for birth control, but I don't know what country you are from.

Now, the possibility of pregnancy is quite high if you were ovulating. Yasmine is a contraceptive pill that is supposed to be taken daily to prevent pregnancy rather than taken after sex for a ECP.

It's a possibility that you're pregnant, and a strong possibility that you're not. It's too soon to know. If you don't have a period within a month, take a pregnancy test. If it's negative and you still don't get a period for another month, take another test.

Given that you aren't able to marry this man and pregnancy could have such serious consequences as murder in your country and family, perhaps you've learned now that having sex outside of marriage is a very bad idea.
