My husband served 15 years 8 months for aggravated assault in Houston TX. Released 11 months early due to overcrowding. Went to halfway house in El Paso. He left house after a month. No, you can not get a bond on a parole hold. If he is held on that, there was either a warant for leaving the half way house, or the theft was a violation.

I would say that he will go back to prison to do the last 11 months ( or 11 months minus what he did in half way house) plus any new time for the new theft.

Your best bet is for an attorney to represent him for the parole hearing violation, and hope the PO will testify that he was aware and allowed him to leave.

As for the new charges it will help if it is lowered to a misdemeanor in a plea deal.
