So much will depend on where you are at, if you are married and so on.

In the US many plans do not pay for child birth, or do not pay for it,unless you have the plan in place for often a year before pregnancy ( not year before birth)
I know of none that you can buy that will cover the birth if you buy it after pregnancy. They call that pre existing condition.

Few offer any coverage for treatments to have the child either
