I have a hard time to pull the pull rope to start my snowblower, but if I removed the sparkplug in pull very easily. And I can also start it with the electric starter.
When started the engine run fine. The last storm it start very easily with the pull rope and when I was using it I heard a grinding knoise, the knoise when away and I finish clearing my driveway.

Hi,
That grinding noise was an indication of something failing. Whatever that might be, it is causing a disengagement problem that is the source of the rope being difficult to pull. Since you provide neither brand or model, I am loathe to go further.
Peace,
Clarke

It is a 2008 troy-bilt with a briggs and stratton 305 cc. what I don't understand is when I take the sparkplug out and pull the rope the piston is going up and down with no problem and I can pull it very easily. As so as I put the sparkplug back it pull so far and at a certain point get very hard to pull . So hard that one wheel get off the ground, I also took the 2 belts off the poulie to make certain that the problem was not in the front blower part,
