Please.. have a hotpoint side by side... h s s 251f md ww maybe 10 yrs old or more I think the timer is bad... frezzing up in the coils I can't find the timer.. please help

You will find the timer either under the unit or inside next to the thermostat. It has a one-way plastic screw on the front. The timer is only one part. There is a defrost heater under the coils and a terminator t-stat wired in series to heater and attached to side of coils. All three parts usually go at about the same time. Best to get all three parts.

Tks... I dried the coils 3 days ago... ck it latter... any way to tell which part is bad by the way or time it takes for the coils to freeze?. thank you very much my friend... richard
If I get a new one.. can you recommend one ? Lowe's have some good prices... maybe a frigidaire
