This all seems to have happened in one night. I noticed that after feeling like I've had 16 cups of coffee (even though I've had non) I got to feeling nauseous and had bad heartburn. My heart also wouldn't stop pounding plus I was over heating. About 2 hours later at 4 am I felt quite a bit better. And I got up to get some water to help ease what was left of the nausea. And since my hubby was gone on a road trip with a few friends. I was going to masturbate. For some reason I felt something different kind of deep in my vagina. It felt extremely swollen around the whole circumference. And I was more wet than usual. Like a waterfall. I'm usually pretty dry for a woman. I was not feeling turned on anymore because I was kind of scared. What could be going on?

Not to be rude, but kind of sounds like menopause symptoms depending on your age.

It's unlikely to be menopause.

When did you last have sex? You were going to masturbate because you were horny, so being wet isn't a surprise. Your vagina swelling is also a symptom of being turned on/horny.

The thing is, we can only guess. If this is a concern, see your doctor.

Problem is, is that I'm only 24 ^_^ and no. I was not feeling excited after the fact. And even when I'm excited I am never this moist. I checked again today and I'm still swollen. Or just puffy far up there. And I also feel bloated. I had my last period 2 weeks ago, so I know it cannot be that... I started my period on the 22nd of December and I last had sex on the fifth of this month.
It's unlikey to be menopause.

Then see your doctor. We can't diagnose on the internet. If this is concerning you then only your doctor can give you an accurate diagnosis.

I guess I really just want to know if anyone has had something similar and what it could posibly be. My mother inlaw suggested I may be pregnant. But I'm sure 7-8 days is to early to feel vaginal and abdominal changes, right?

Actually I am in nursing school. I was referring to her physical problems she mentioned first. And no you can't reach a diagnosis over the Internet! And obviously it's not menopause if she's 24. All I said was it sounds like menopause depending on her age. And if she was 45 or 50 then it could have been, just like it could be whatever you have said. Of course the only way she will ever know what the problem is, is if she goes to an actual doctor. Surely she knows that the people on this site cannot diagnose. I think if it was a real issue she would have already gone to a doctor.

As you continue to post you will discover that there is a reason "Alty" answered the way she did. People post asking about a diagnosis all the time and are surprised/offended when one is not given. And, no, people asking questions, including questions involving serious symptoms, do not go to a Physician. Many post that they are embarrassed or don't have insurance or for some other reason.

I've never heard of excessive "wetness" as a symptom of menopause. I thought lack of lubrication was the usual problem - same with a pounding heartbeat.

Suggesting menopausal symptoms is not rude, by the way. Menopause is a fact of life.
