I'm looking for a English/American movie that I saw somewhere in the late 80's/early 90's - old enough. A film about clones (probably clones) - there were some plants gelatinous - jelly-like and bore the "egg-shaped" clones out of which a clon came out. Usually it was happening right next to the original person. I remember that some people were lying in the hospital, I remember some white curtains and just behind the heads of the people these jelly appeared, and in one moment there was the man standing and just in front of him it appears - this jelly and already slowly creates a clone.

I've been thinking about this movie since my childhood. Anyone associates?
