Okay so here's a like background check. Im a 19 year old Male. About 4 weeks ago I noticed some white bumps on my private area. And of course they grew bigger. And the first thing that popped in my had is that I may have had a STD cause I've had my fair share of sex. I went to the doctor and he immediately said it wasn't herpies and said that he thinks they are just infected hair folicules and that if you don't wash good enough down there you will get bumps from overload of oils in your penis glands? Some of the hairs are not near the hair line but most of them are. Sometimes I would go a week or two without taking a shower cause I was so busy and just wash my hair. I have been showering a lot recently hoping they would go away. My mom was concerned they were genital warts but I looked it up and you can't pop warts like a pimple. I did pop one and it is has gotten pretty big and sore. They don't burn itch or anything. I only know they are there if I use the bathroom. Has anyone ever went through something like this or have any answers on how I could get these gone or ever heard of them? I would really like to know. Its stressing me out just looking at them. And looks like a couple more might be popping up in another area. Would really like some good answers! I appreciate you taking your time in reading this and giving me your opinion.

You need to shower daily. Nobody is too busy to take a shower every day. I managed to shower every day even when I had a 9 hour work day and four hours a day of commuting.

Once you are regularly clean, see if the problem continues. If it does, go back to the doctor.

I can see if a person might miss a shower one day here and there - I mean, very, very rarely - but seriously, you are going to have a lot of problems if you don't shower daily. People will not want to work with you, be friends with you, and certainly not date you because not bathing is gross. While you're at it, brush your teeth, too.

Yes, sanitation is your issue for sure, and yes that area needs to be washed daily.

So if "washing more" is not daily, start doing it daily

First off - GROSS. How can you not shower? I probably shower too much but I have to be clean and smelling good. There, I feel better now.

You went and saw a doctor so he gave you his professional medical opinion. I would go with that and just continue (or begin I guess) to have good hygiene. And YES, go brush your teeth!

Did he mention scabies at all? Those bumps would be red I think.
