Providing wife with form 1099-misc
My wife and I own a janitorial franchise, which is an LLC. According to the LLC filed with the State of Georgia, I own 75% and my wife own 25% of the business.
However, all payments for services rendered is paid to me only. My wife does help me in the business with the janitorial duties, which includes helping with the cleaning of the businesses we service. I provide her with some of the money I receive at the end of each month. We file our income taxes jointly at end of year.
My question is: should I provide her with form 1099-misc so she can report her income and take deductions for 25% of the expenses. The 1099-misc will only be on the 25% of income I give to her, per the LLC.
Thanks
