I had vericose vains on my labia during my second pregnancy. My son is now over a year old. I still continue to have the symptoms I had when I was pregnant. Pressure in my pelvic/vaginal area. Feels swollen sometimes, and very painful pressure. Sometimes the pain shoots straight up. It is very uncomfortable and it happens usually when I am on my feet for a whie. It happens all the time, not only when I am menstruating. When it is that time of the month, it does get worse. When my partner and I have sex, different positions hurt. Could this be vericose veins inside my vaginal area or could it be a totally different issue?
It really could be either one of those issues, or something completely different. The only way to find out for certain would be to make an appointment with your ob/gyn to discuss this and possibly have an exam done.

I have an appointment on the 24th with my obgyn and an ultrasound this Thursday!
Great! Please keep me informed of what you find out!

Okay so I just had my ultra sound. Turns out I have extensive vericose veins all through. (by uterus, ovaries and RT kidney) The Dr. was going to talk to a radiologist because he advised me to get them blocked as they will not go away and will continue to get worse.
I see my obgyn next week to find out the next steps. When I seen my family Dr. for my first physical when my second child was 6 weeks old, he assured me the pain I was experiencing would go away. This is frustrating because it has just gotten worse, and could have been dealt with by now! I am a nursing student so my schedule is pretty tight.
