Another church member has trapped gas. Burping with very painful back pains.
Has been using Gas x with Simethicone. Is there anything better in the market place

You can try Maalox or Bicitra. Now, there are other conditions that can cause issues like this such as GERD or Gall Stones.

Oh very good. She has Gerd and Biliary Dyskinesia 14% ejection Ratio. But no stones in the gall bladder thanks

If she has GERD, is she taking anything for it? GERD can be very painful in and of itself.

She takes Prevacid and Pantoprazole for nauseousness, which lately hasn't been a problem.
It is the burping and the back pain, it is relieved somewhat by burping.

Switching from Prevacid to Nexium might do the trick. However, Nexium is by prescription only.

How long has this been going on?

Thanks I will tell her. Wonder if they have a generic. Very poor people in my
Congregation. Very long time. Poor soul.

Unfortunately there is no generic for Nexium at this point in time. I've been taking it for 4 years now.

For Years

If it's been going on for years then there is a bigger problem than just "trapped gas." She needs to seek medical attention and possibly a second opinion.

Yes, I get that this has been going on for years. Gas x with Simethicone isn't going to help. She will need to see a doctor for further testing to find out why this is happening.
