View Full Version : Is it common to stop your period 5 months after having a baby when brestfeeding

I was having a regular period up until my daughter turned 5 months then it stopped I had sex without protection and stopped I have taken pregnancy test and they have been negative I no that breastfeeding it an throw off the results its been six months and I have not started my period I feel pregnant but don't no if I could be and if I am why the test are negative

Yes only 4 times a day and not as much as I use to when she was younger she is almost a year and I don't really nurse anymore I feel pregnant but all test are negative

My period didn't come back until I nursed twice a day. If you feel pregnant, you may need a blood test.

How do I get my doctor to do that because she keeps saying her pregnancy test in the office is good enough to tell

Nothing I asked for birth control and had me take a test on a stick then when I asked her when I should start my birthcontrol which is the nuva ring she said when ever

I told her I feel pregnant since the periods stopped and she told me there's no way your 6 months pregnant
