Hi,
Ive read through a similar question on here as well as the answers and thought id ask a clearer question in hopes of getting a clearer answer, if one exists aside from she's just a female cat and they're... unsociable. But my Lilly is beyond unsociable she isolates herself in places like the roof where there is no food or water for days and won't come when I offer even the best treats. But that's not really the problem, she's aggressive and sometimes scary. She insists on sitting on my spot on the bed whenever I move but when I even try to touch or move her she hisses does the deep long growl and sometimes attacks. She's always been unruly, I got her from the pound when she was about a year old and I always thought she may have been abused or tormented like some of t he other answers on posts here said, but the aggression is new, in the last 3 years or so since I took my moms cat. Ive tried everything since I got another cat but she has never accepted or adjusted to having him around and is very mean and aggressive to him. They are both fixed. Lily is on flea control eats as much as she wants comes and goes as she pleases lives in a half acre backyard outside my trailer. I spend so time trying to figure out what her deal is and make her happy and try to share my attention and affection equally between her and my male but its getting to the point where I don't want her around and I'm getting ready to make her stay outside all the time. Ive really tried everything that I can think of I pride myself in being an attentive and responsible pet owner and look at my cats like they are among my closest companions. Can anyone help me? Ive even tried checking her all over to see if she's hurt and as far as I can tell she's not. She has very mellow moments where she is a very sweet kitty, when I have company over she is at the table waving her butt in everyone's face when were trying to play dominoes! I love her, but its like she's almost feral. If she was a person, I would deem her abusive and not have her in my life. Any inout would be greatly appreciated.

Same with my neighbor's cat but it's a male. Every time I go near it it growls and hisses. Maybe it was abused as a kitten or something.

The answer seems pretty clear to me. This all started when you got the other cat. There are cats that just cannot accept another member to their household, and it sounds like Lily fits that bill. Sadly, the only real solution is to get rid of the other cat, which really isn't a solution at all.

I wish I could help. I wish there were cat trainers, like there are dog trainers. But Lily is what she is, and I don't know if there's anything you can do to fix her behavior.

I'm really sorry. I wish I had a solution for this. :(
