I've been seeing a person off and on for 4 to 5 years in a sexual manner for money. Anyway, I recently moved in with this person and the implications of such could be very lucrative for my future. However, the person is a drug addict and is tearing away at my soul with his ways. I've received a car and a job that eventually could land me 20k a month. What do I do? Do I subject myself to such a way of living, do I leave and move at a snails pace as I did before(working towards my future)? The obvious answer is leave I feel, but at the same time isn't this what life is about, being strong and dealing with hardship to get somewhere more pleasant?

Is this your lifes plan? To go through life pretending who you are so you can manipulate them for your whim? Honestly, the fact that your questioning it leads me to believe that its time for a change. Money isn't the only thing that life is made of. Is it easier with cash.. of course. But there is something to be gained when you struggle. You gain perspective and more importantly empathy. So when you look in the mirror first thing in the morning what do you really see?

I see a broken out coward, I find it difficult to leave the place for some reason, and it just leaves me numb to the motion of thought.

Then think about this. You had the strength to reach out and question yourself then express it to someone else. It's the baby shoes of the first steps you take to heal yourself.

To throw the questions out there and mix it with doubt is something we all do. What you need now is resolution. You need to temper your ways. Strengthen from the inside outward. Lifestyle can be just as powerful an addiction as any other drug. Fame and fortune is something many seek until they get there. So start by looking at your world through your minds eye and start finding your end point. Then you can establish your goals. Now you have something to work to. Im not saying pack your bags and run. Im saying be smart. And learn how you can walk away.

Are you possibly involved in some violations of the law? I don't know where you are or what kinds of activities you are involved in or could be charged as an accessory to, and will you reach a point where you can't leave because you know too much?
In addition to the issues considered so far in the responses, are loss of freedom, very limited opportunities for the rest of your life, and reaching a point of no return some things you should be considering?
