Hi - I have checked every entry on IMDB on Ben Gazzara and have not been able to find this movie for the last 5 years!
Basically - he plays some consultant who is attending a seminar abroad - he encounters a stunning young blonde woman who is very beautiful but insecure. She may be a high class escort but not sure. She genuinely falls for Ben Gazzara but he mistakes this for naivety and her seeking a father-figure or a sugar-daddy, but it is genuine. When he cools off, she makes a scene in a restaurant when he is dining with a colleague. Also, I think the final scene is when he leaves for the airport and she is totally devastated and heartbroken on the pavement. I think at this time she is wearing a bright red evening dress. The only other reference I can find with Gazzara and a prostitute is 'Tales of Ordinary Madness' it is not that film.
Thanks in advance.
(another one was Charles Grodin and three of his married friends hitting on women while they're away on holiday).

Google Ben Gazzara movies. I just did and they are all there but seeing as we are all volunteers here, could not take the time to check all of them. Maybe you can.

We don't have any more resources then you do soffpro to find this movie you so aptly described. Yes we are EXPERTS in many fields but still volunteers with no time actually to sift through sites looking for movies. I hope you are not being sarcastic, and happy new year to you!

Was it on TV (that's the board this is on) or a movie? If it's a movie, our movie guy, Quinn F, might know which one. He has a great track record at answering movie questions.
If it was a movie, I'll move this thread to Movies so Quinn will see it.

Hi thanks for that - it would help. It may even have been a TV movie. Or it may have been a drama done for TV. No idea but I searched all info on IMDB. All best for new year.

Someone has posted it might be "The Window over the Way" with Estelle Skornik (who is not blond).
I will move this thread to Movies for Quinn to see.

@tickle - sorry for that but when I say I've searched for 5 years and you say you have no other resources than I do but you are experts - what am I supposed to deduce from a suggestion to Google it? I take back my sarcasm. Apologies and genuine best wishes. K

@ Wondergirl - yes please do that, if Quinn comes up with an answer, he must seriously be an expert. My best friend is a lecturer in cinema and writes about movies but has no idea about this one. All the best.

Sadly it was not Estelle Skornik as in 'The Window Over The Way' thanks anyway.

Yes - tried everything there - even looked up russian and polish actresses, though she could be from anywhere. Definitely did a convincing Russian and very natural looking beauty. Not much make-up and piercing baby blue eyes if I recollect it right. Even though she plays a desperate girl, she is gob-smackingly beautiful, very feminine and slight. She's an amazing actress and its stupefying I have not seen her elsewhere. Her character is so trusting and naïve but looks effortless. Sorry.

I thought it would be under 'older man-younger woman relationship' but no.

If you are classed as an expert here, you are an expert in certain areas, mine are multiple, medicine, archeology, paleo. As a volunteer, and as first almost to read your question, and I did Google it before answering you, therefore my answer. I just didn't suggest Google without checking first.

Have you tried asking here? IMDb :: Boards :: I Need To Know (http://www.imdb.com/board/bd0000001/threads/) There's a lot of movie experts on that board so you've got a better chance at finding your movies. Just bump periodically... Good luck!

@Quinn F - thanks for the link - I did try looking for somewhere to ask on IMDB but couldn't find it. Will give it a shot now and let you know how I get on. I even tried googling Gazzara's Estate and fan base but no luck. Someone must know it.
