My husband and I been married 39 1/2 years. We are both in our late 50's and he is having trouble cuming. He says maybe he is sexual attracted to me any more. And that upsets me to, I know for fact he is not seeing anyone else. What do I do ?

Is he having trouble getting an erection or just completing ?

Does he go soft before completing.

In your late 50's there are many issues men can have.

Can you explain the issue in more detail

He has no trouble getting the erection, he has trouble completing. Be just turned 58.

This is a more common issue, sometimes it can take 30 min to 50 min for some older men to complete. And often they just wear out or get too tired before this happens. Have you tried masturbation ( or I should say has he tried that and does he complete that way?)
Or do you try that with him.

Yes he does get tired and worn out before can finish then he thinks there is something wrong with him. I don't know if he has tried to masturbate himself or not. I tried last night but he doesn't want to do it that way he wants to do it me. And he does stay hard. If we only have sex once a week then most of the time he can do it.

It's time for a doctor's appointment. There are medical issues that can cause this sort of thing. Does he have his prostate examined yearly? How about his blood pressure?

Yes he does have his prostate examined yearly and he has problems with that. And just lately he's blood pressure has been a little on the high side. So these two can cause that kind of problems?

Well, I'm not Fr. Chuck, I am J_9 and I am a nurse, not a priest.

Yes, prostate problems can cause this type of problem as well has high blood pressure and a myriad of other health issues.

He needs to discuss this with his doctor, no matter how embarrassing it may be for him. There could be some very serious underlying medical conditions that are causing him not to have an orgasm. It may have little to nothing to do with sexual attraction, but rather possibly some serious medical condition.

He needs to be brutally honest with his doctor and have a head-to-toe examination as well as a hormonal workup.

Thank you for that information, he does have an exam ever year because he is on cholesterol medication and he his prostrate levels have came back on the high side, they did a biopsy and it was OK but they are still watching it.

I agree, he needs to talk to his doctor, most men over 50 in my limited opinion most likely have some sexual issue. For some it is still having sex like they were 30 and their partners can't keep up. For others it is no erection, others can complete.

The prostate issues I had two years ago, almost destroyed my sex life, then a other medication caused it to get worst for a while.

But I also see an issue if you don't know if he masturbates or not, is there problems with him talking to you about sex and sexual acts?
