I bailed someone out of jail (stupid move) little did I know, that person has a restraining order on them. If this person violates there restraining order and goes back to jail will I lose my bail money?

Yes, if he violates his terms, and gets sent back to jail, you lose your money

I will have to agree, my mind was thinking of somethng else, had a case where they were on bond in Texas, but arrested in Missouri, near the court date, when he did not show up in Texas, the bond was lost, even though he was in jail.

No way to check, but if it was me, I would show up in court, in case they call the case and they are not there. The jail they are not, has to know to send them. If it is called and they are not there, you can notify the judge they are in jail

You did post cash bail (didn't pay a bail bonding company), right? Because if you went through a bondsman, you don't get the money back.

If you are still worrying about this, look into revoking bail (for the reason that you have changed your mind, not that the defendant has violated the bail conditions). It should be possible to do this, get your money back, and have the defendant placed back in custody if he cannot find bail somewhere else.
