My male cat is walking around meowing and sticking his butt in air like a female in heat . If you talk to him he still does it . He rolls around on floor and makes vocal sounds . What could cause this ?

If he is over 6 months old, he definitely needs to be neutered and checked by a vet. Otherwise, you are putting him in harm's way for a bunch of diseases..

Can you then make him an inside-only cat?

I'm glad. An unneutered male can get into terrible trouble outside. Being neutered will make him even more comfortable and calm.

Are you sure he is a boy? Sometimes cats are hard to tell..

Good call. That thought crossed my mind along the way.
