Goodman heating and air conditioning unit heat won't stay on. New 4 months old Goodman A/GPG13 M Series W/R410A Gall heating and Cooling Unit. New Hunter Model 44905 Thermostat also used a new Honeywell RTHL2310/RTHL221 Series Thermostat. Unit will come on for 3-5 min then turn off. If I turn the fan switch to on it will stay on. But on auto it goes off after a few minutes. Sometimes it will stay on for a while, if I set the temp to 80 plus. It is basically working intermittently. Not sure if there is some kind of sensor malfunctioning.
I have turn off power to the unit left off for 10-15 min then turned back on. The unit will re-ignite and function for 3-5 min then turn off. I have to keep playing with the temp on the thermostat and resetting the unit and then it will come on for 2-5 min and turn off again. But it will randomly come on and off. But the temp will read 66 and it is set to heat to 75 but it won't come on. Please help.

A four month old unit should be under factory/dealer warranty. If you try to repair the unit you will more than likely void the warranty so I suggest you call the company that sold and installed the unit. Most units are also covered for labor during the first year of ownership.

You need to know if the fan is running because if not, it's your fault, usually: The power is off or the unit is unplugged.
