Lowe's currently offers Moen, Delta, Price Phister & Peerless. All have models that I like but is there any general preference among the pros ( and the rest of us) for one or the other regarding worksmanship, durability, etc?
Thanks

It may still hold true that the higher priced brands are higher quality but I am starting to doubt that. I have used Moen and Delta for many years with no issues. No 1st hand info on the other two. Sorry

Delta and Peerless are made by the same manufacturer.
I've installed 2 Moen bathroom faucets and a Peerless Kitchen faucet. No problems for the last 2 years.
I bought them when they were on sale. When I was shopping for these, I had no brand preference, except that it had to be a washer-less design. These don't drip.:)

In Florida the water was much more aggressive because of chlorine and bromine and the moen was better. In atlanta the water is not very aggressive and I prefer delta because it is high quality like a chevy 350 motor and very simple to repair. I have worked with many price pfister and I don't like them at all. I have worked on only a few peerless and do not have an opinion. Peerless uses a different spring and seat than delta.
Ask yourself this, do I want to repair it? Can I repair it? Will the parts be readily available?

Good point about repairability and parts availability. Maintenance free operation, lifetime warranties, etc. are things to look for. I've found that Delta is the flagship model line, while Peerless is more of the value line.
